GSC's three to eight week short-term
volunteer abroad programs are ideal for those interested in becoming submerged into
a new culture while participating in community training and volunteer service
work overseas. All GSC short-term program participants receive one
week of cultural orientation and training in-country prior to their community
training assignments. PROGRAM UPDATE:
After 20 years of service in East Africa, GSC has concluded our work there and will be taking the best practices learned to our programs in Cuba. We are now offering a Conversational English Training Program in Cuba, with Sustainable Agriculture and Public Health programs to likely follow later in 2016. If you would like to learn more about our Cuba program, follow the link here
We’ve decided to leave our Tanzania web pages up so visitors to our site can get an idea of the kind of work that we have done. Information can be found below on best practices lessons learned from our Tanzania program that will be carried over to our Cuba program.
