With a range of international volunteer programs - from two-week volunteer vacations and introductions to service-learning - to longer term volunteer assignments and internships and one-year fellowships - Global Service Corps has a program to fit your interests, timeframe, and budget.
Introduction to Service Learning
If you are interested finding out more about the world of service-learning, our two-week GSC Introduction to Service-Learning Program may be what you are looking for. You will receive the same one-week orientation and training as longer-term program participants and have opportunity to participate in a service project during your second week.
Short-Term Volunteer Abroad Programs
If you have more time and want to gain a greater insight into the world of international volunteerism and development, our Short-Term Volunteer Abroad Program could be just the opportunity you are looking for. This GSC program includes orientation and training to prepare you to participate in one of GSC’s Community Training Programs.
Long-Term Volunteer Abroad Programs and Internships
If you have between nine weeks and six months to immerse yourself in the African or Asian culture, a long-term overseas volunteer assignment or International Internship Program will provide you with a more in-depth experience of international development. Long-term programs and internships are offered in all program areas in Tanzania, Cambodia and Thailand, with community development programs offered in Tanzania. These long-term volunteer projects and internship programs can provide the needed international experience to help you decide upon or prepare for a career in international development.
Fellowship Programs
If you have decided on a career in international development the GSC SOS Fellowship Programs will provide you with the training and field experience necessary to qualify you for a full time job in the international field.
