Thailand Service-Learning Program Schedule
Two-week, short-term, long-term and internship programs begin on the same date: All Thailand Programs begin on a Saturday and end on a Saturday. Participants must arrive in country no later than the Friday before their Saturday start-date. The last night on the program is Friday with departure on Saturday.
BUDDHIST IMMERSION PROGRAM UPDATE: The Buddhist Immersion Program will be moving to a new monastery and is currently in its final stages of restructuring and development. More information about the new program will be available in March and we anticipate that programs will begin running in June of 2012. Please check back for further details on the status of this program.

All Paid Teaching programs begin on the same date: All Thailand Programs begin on a Saturday and end on a Saturday. Participants must arrive in country no later than the Friday before their Saturday start-date.

2012 Rates
Included in Service-Learning Trip: Airport pickup during scheduled times; project transportation; all meals as noted; accommodations at project site for the duration of your program; basic Thai language lessons and cultural orientation; Bangkok tour; bus transportation from project site back to Bangkok (for Buddhist Immersion Program) or to Singburi (for Teach English Abroad and Orphanage Care Programs) at the end of your program during scheduled times.
Not Included in Service-Learning Trip: Travel expenses including passport charges, applicable visa charges* ($60-$150), travel insurance** ($150-$350), and airfare** ($1,500-$2,500); accommodations, meals, and transportation for any personal trips during weekend free time; any additional costs for accommodations, meals, or transportation needed for those arriving or departing early or late; transportation from Bangkok (for Buddhist Immersion) or from Singburi (for Teach English Abroad and Orphanage Care) to the airport.
*This cost depends on your length of stay in Thailand. Note: Volunteers arriving before their program start date or staying in Thailand later than their program end date may be subject to additional visa charges.
**These costs are estimates. Actual prices will depend on program length, your chosen vendors, visiting country's governmental regulations, and other factors beyond GSC's control.
Group Discounts (2 or More People) for Service-Learning Programs:
Bring family and friends... and save! If a service-learning participant refers a friend or family member to another service-learning program, he or she will receive a discount of 10% of the second participant's fees. Discount applies for each additional referral, so the more friends you bring, the cheaper your service-learning program becomes! (Participants referred must start projects on the same date for the discount to apply, but may work on different projects.) Please contact us for large group discounts (6 or more people). Returning volunteers also receive a discount of 10% on the fees of their second program.
